Mother & Child
A unique drawing by Andy Warhol
Fascinated by icons of American Pop culture, Andy Warhol released a portfolio of Cowboys and Indians in 1986. The ten screenprints in the series portray both historical and cinematic characters from the American West, including Geronimo, General Custer, the Indian Head Nickel, and Annie Oakley. This painting on paper is a study for his screenprint of Mother and Child.
