Grapes
A unique screenprint by Andy Warhol
Works from the Grapes portfolio are examples of Warhol’s trials with and transformation of the traditional still life in the 1970s. These works invoke his experience as a photographer, draughtsman, and experimenter with screenprinting. The screenprinting technique allowed Warhol to layer many images, creating numerous color combinations from which he could choose.
