According to the Artist

Sorry I Made You Cry combines two Spiller muses, allowing for Olive Oyl and Picasso’s lover Dora Maar to inhabit the same world. In doing so, Spiller extends the two characters the same artistic merit. Spiller strongly believed that 20th century cartoon characters were as important as portraits by da Vinci, Picasso, or Warhol. He loved that cartoons were internationally instantly-recognized icons and a part of all our lives.
