“My first works with colored pulp were personal letters written to my relatives. In them, the weight and strength of color and the materiality of the paper were the trigger for a very intimate and inspiring connection with the theme I was working with and to the act of creating with paper. I have also used letters written by other people to their loved ones, as for example in pieces such as 'Voices', I transcribed the words of a daughter who writes an emotional letter to her father from a distance.”
