Absorbing Light

“'Clink' and 'Absorbing Light' are part of a series of works that were influenced by a visit to the Chicago Aquarium that I made with my daughter a couple of years ago. I was mesmerized by the reflective, otherworldly color that was created as light filtered through the tanks and bounced off of the vibrant colored surfaces of the aquatic life. The title 'Clink' refers to the gentle echo that happens when two objects meet. I am interested in how color and perceptual experiences can have a similar vibration to that of sound."
