According to the Artist
“This piece was inspired by the writings of Carl Jung. ‘Alchemical Studies’ is the title of one of Jung’s books. Jung’s writings have greatly influenced my thinking.
These four stones were cut from a very large stone that had been a portion of a cave wall. The natural surface has been carved by flowing water over millions of years. That surface has been covered in 24k gold which strongly contrasts the outer cut and carved surfaces. Each stone, a portion of the whole, is set apart and elevated by its own pedestal.”
